From the second of April two new Reserve Coffees will be available in our store. Last night we had a sneak preview for some of our coffee enthousiasts. Would you like to be part of this group? Fill in the 'stay on top' leaflet in store and you will be invited next time!

The Bank Anniversary! and United by Music!

This Saturday it was a year ago when we first opened our store at Rembrandtplein! Lots of people have explored our store since then, and we have gained a large amount of friends who visit us on a regular base! In the coming year we are going to explore more ways to connect with our neighbourhood and use our home for more exciting events. Keep an eye out for all new great stuff on this blog, through facebook or twitter!

 

This Friday we have another performance of United by Music! Already for the third time they are going to rock the house between 19:00-21:00. Don't miss it!

Growing coffee

Did you know we grow our own coffee at The Bank? It is not an easy task because - in case you haven't noticed - Amsterdam is not excactly situated around the equator! The coffee trees are growing in the window, so please have a close look when you are around. You might see some berries between te leaves (not enough to make a cup of coffee, but still). Below some pictures, also from some berries we've picked!

A Suffolk boy and Australian girl playing songs about every day passions, extraordinary moments and unsung heroes.

Their sound is a rich mix of driven and picked acoustic guitar, mercurial piano, blended vocal harmonies and heavy percussion.

In 2012 they toured Germany, supported Britpop veterans Dodgy, festival favourites Will and the People, one-time Mercury Music Prize nominees Sweet Billy Pilgrim and Jools Holland's Band. They debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where they were awarded a coveted 5★★★★★ review and were invited to play in the BBC's own EdFringe tent.
